Short Biography

Professor David Hill is currently Vice President of Blaise Pascal University in charge of ICT. He is also director of the Inter-Univeristy Computing Center (CIRI). From august 2005 to august 2007, he was deputy director of ISIMA Computer Science & Modeling Institute (French Grande Ecole d’Ingénieur) where he managed various departments before 2005. Professor Hill joined ISIMA in 1993 as Associate Professor. He received his French qualification as Research Director in 2000 and the doctor degree in 1993 (in Object-Oriented Software Engineering and Simulation) all from Blaise Pascal University. He also holds a French "Diplome d'Ingenieur", DEA "Diplome d'Etude Avancee" (received in 1990) and a French Maitrise (1989). Since 1990, David Hill has authored or co-authored more than a hundred technical papers and he has also published text books. Professor David Hill has served as chairman or program chairman at various international conferences. He is Associate Editor of the Simulation journal (SCS : Society for Computer Simulation) (www.scs.org), journal and reviewer for other simulation journals.
