Public Engineering School in Computer Science

ANELIS (ANciens ELèves de l’ISima) is the school association set up to strengthen and promote links between intakes. It participates in school life at ISIMA and helps improve educational content by sharing experience feedback. ANELIS also coordinates the school alumni network. ANELIS puts on a number of events through the year in three key areas: sharing, mutual aid and social interaction.

Paye Ta Mousse (PTM) is an event which brings together past and current students over a glass. What makes this event special is that it takes place on the same day for all ISIMA students around the world, whether they be in London, Shanghai or Montreal! It is organised once at the start of the academic year (November) when the ZZ get to know each other but without the alumni in attendance. It’s also the ideal opportunity for the second and third year students to take advantage of the network to find an internship. The second PTM event is in April when the interns arrive so they can find out all they need to know about their host city and their new place of work.

The Récrés is a concept launched in 2012. These are a series of short entertaining conferences held at lunchtime on weekdays at ISIMA venues. The talks invite one or more alumni to present one aspect or theme of their line of work. Spectators will hopefully appreciate the diversity and relevance of the jobs undertaken by our engineers.

The final event organised by ANELIS is the Seminar (on gala day). The aim of this event is for students to talk with the school administration about their orientation and any changes introduced during the academic year and interact with alumni to discuss ‘life after ISIMA’ and any big issues raised.
