Public Engineering School in Computer Science

About the BDE

Student life is one of the pillars of any engineering course and it’s no exception at ISIMA! ISIMA promises a varied and exciting student life, which is overseen by the Bureau Des Elèves (or BDE, the ISIMA students union established by the 1901 Law of Associations). The BDE is run by a team of dedicated ZZ (the moniker for ISIMA students) whose main goal is to ensure students make the most of their free time at school.

ISIMA has its own centre where students can hang out at any time of the day to share a coffee, a game of cards or a table football match.

The BDE’s main activity is organizing all kinds of event to involve as many students as possible. Bowling, bar nights, clubbing, etc., there’s always something going on.

Not to mention all the different activities proposed by the many clubs and asociations at ISIMA. Film screenings, concerts, video game development, robotics, sports tournaments, poker, DJ mixing, role playing – the list is endless!

Major events are also planned through the year, be they organised by the BDE, one of the school’s clubs or the BREI Auvergne (Bureau Régional des Elèves Ingénieurs d’Auvergne) which represents students at the five engineering schools in the Auvergne region. Skiing weekends, school galas or parties for all five schools at the B.Box: just a few examples of the varied range of activities for students at ISIMA.

Visit the BDE website for more information about the different clubs at the school and how you can get involved.

The site also has a calendar so students are always kept up-to-date on the busy programme of events.
