ISIMA accepts into its engineering course students holding a DUT (technology diploma in computer science, networks and telecommunications, communication services and networks, etc.) or the first two years of a bachelor’s degree (computer science, mathematics). Candidates must submit an application. The school offers 50 places in the first year.
Students wishing to apply must download and fill out the appropriate application form for their academic situation.
The application must contain information on the student’s qualifications, grades and averages obtained during their education, an assessment of their teachers, any practical experience (work placements, projects, extra-curricular activities) and an application letter.…

Preparatory classes
ISIMA recruits most of its students from preparatory classes for grandes écoles. The school does this via the CCP (Common Polytechnic Competitive Examinations) system which is open to all students in the MP, PC, PSI, TSI and PT streams. ISIMA offers 70 places to the CCP:
- 40 places to MP,
- 8 places to PC,
- 5 places to PT,
- 12 places to PSI,
- 5 places to TSI.

Post-secondary
ISIMA accepts sixth-form students with relevant qualifications (science and technology stream) looking to become computer engineers and offers 24 places on its two-year post-secondary foundation course, named Prép’ISIMA, affiliated with the University of Clermont Auvergne.
How to apply to Prép’ISIMA?
Visit the
parcoursup portal. In the course search engine, select “Cycle Universitaire Préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles” (University Foundation Programme for Grandes Ecoles) for the Auvergne region. The ISIMA foundation course will be listed.

International Student Admission
Degree-seeking students must provide the following documents for the application to be considered:
- Certified copies of all university transcripts and diplomas in French (transcripts from the previous 2 or three years)
- A handwritten letter describing the reasons for wanting to in France, and the choice of ISIMA
- At least one 1 letter of recommendation from a professor or a professional supervisor
The deadline is the 20 June 2014 (allow sufficient mailing time). The applications will be examined end of June/beginning of July.
Students who have already successfully completed two years at university (L2) or have a DUT are admitted into the first year.…
