ISIMA is the project lead in higher education for a vocations and qualifications campus named e-campus centred on information technologies which was approved by education minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem on 30 January 2015.
Created in 2013, vocations and qualifications campuses are centres of excellence for helping young people make the transition from studying to employment. They offer a range of vocational courses, both in technology-related and general disciplines, in a specific professional field with future prospects. Under one roof and/or as part of a network of secondary and higher education institutions, they bring together, within strengthened partnerships, companies and research laboratories supported by regional councils and companies.
Developed around a sector of excellence of national or regional economic importance, the vocations and qualifications campuses provide learning pathways covering the diversity of careers in organisations favourable for technological innovation and skills transfers.
